Professional Development Session | Coaching for Results: Positive, long-lasting, meaningful change in leader behaviors (Virtual)
Developing leader capacity positively impacts organizational performance. We also know that achieving real change in leader behavior is difficult and challenging. Yet many leadership development efforts fall flat. This doesn’t have to be the norm! Dr. Marineau will discuss the power of coaching for behavioral change in leaders. Leaders can and do change, but it takes humility, courage, and discipline—and help from others around the leader who are most likely to benefit from positive, lasting change in the leader.

Dr. Marineau is an Associate Professsor of Management at NDSU’s collge of business department of Management and Marketing. His primary area of published research is organizational behavior with emphasis on interpersonal relationships at work, such as conflict and friendship. He studies how leaders and workers perceive their own and others’ relationships in the workplace and how relationship perception impacts work performance and other outcomes. He also studies the Fargo-Moorhead entrepreneurial ecosystem’s culture and social networks. He recently started coaching leaders in the local FM area. He has been married 24 years and has a son, 19, and a daughter, 17.
