Train the Trainers for Non-Trainers presented by Robin Thorstenson

"Oh, I'll just get up there and talk."  "I've got 50 slides. I can get through them in an hour, can't I?"  "My talk is all typed up for me to read!"

We all use champions and subject matter experts as trainers. So how do we teach them that training is more than being a “sage on the stage”?  What does Train-the-Trainer for the non-Trainer look like? What methodology would help these experts ensure their sessions are interactive and behavior-based?

Over the past 35 years, Robin Thorstenson has trained volunteers, teenagers, community experts and colleagues in the 5-Step Teaching Method and the principles of adult learning theory. She’ll share the components to include in train-the-trainer, resources and lessons learned. And she’ll do it without mentioning Bloom, Gagne or ADDIE!

Lunch is available for purchase in the Mystic Café. Please feel free to bring with you to the Alumni Room, lower level of BSC's Student Union.

Guests are welcome!

Note: This is a program offered through the Bismarck Mandan Geographic Interest Group of the ND ATD Chapter. This event is held in Bismarck.
