Bobcat Company’s Successful Navigation through Transformational Change

For more than 50 years Bobcat has been the market leader in the Compact Construction Equipment market, a market invented by the Bobcat Skid Steer Loader.  This North Dakota born company continues to invest in the attribute that led to its success: Innovation.  In 2012, 5 years after being acquired by South Korean Multi-National Doosan Corporation, Bobcat announced the construction of an Innovation Acceleration Center in Bismarck.  Opened in 2014, the Bobcat Acceleration Center introduced a new way of working for the employees located there.  Focused on rapidly iterating innovative ideas, selecting the critical few, and moving to market quickly, this new style of work dispensed with many of the practices of a traditional office and work culture.

Session Details:

We will take a ‘look under the hood’ at Bobcat’s specific training plan that transformed a traditional workforce into a very non-traditional work environment.  Our facilitators will talk about the development of innovation activities, by way of action learning.  We will also hear firsthand about the challenges faced in the development and implementation of this change and evidence that it has taken root and is growing.  Bobcat will also provide a tour of their new facility.  If you are interested in learning firsthand about Culture, Change Management, Innovation, Talent Development and Training …This is the session for YOU!
