Program Summary:
In our work change has become a constant. We have the responsibility to hire, train, and develop employees in organizations, yet, as talent development professionals, we rarely train and develop employees for leading and managing change and transition. This presentation looks at different ways to understand change and transition and provides a framework for transition leadership/management in organizations as well as strategies to prepare, train, and develop employees for transition.

About our Presenter:
Michael Harwood serves as the Assistant Dean of Student Life at North Dakota State University. He oversees 3 departments in Student Affairs: Dining Services, Residence Life and University Conference Programs.
Michael provides leadership and direction for over 500 staff. He came to NDSU in 1998 where he served as the Director of Residence Life for 8 years. Prior to NDSU, he was at the University of North Dakota for 6 years. He completed his undergraduate degree at Montana State and went on to Mankato State for his graduate degree.
He is originally from Whitefish, Montana and now resides in Fargo with his two boys, Alex and Cole.
Michael has presented at a number of National and Regional conferences in Higher Education on leadership, organization development, transformative leadership, transition management, team development, and finance in Higher Education.
