Where Training & Development Come Alive!


Robin Thorstenson currently serves as a training coordinator with Starion Bank where she coordinates learning experiences for team members, provides leadership training and coaches emerging leaders.  She has experience in human resources, program management and nonprofit leadership in a wide range of industries, including health care and education. Robin holds an MBA from University of St. Thomas, as well as certification in mentoring and leadership curriculums. She is recognized for her expertise in generational culture and has presented to thousands on the topic, most recently at the Energy Generation Conference. Robin is actively involved in the community. She serves on Dakota Media Access board, the Leadership Bismarck Mandan steering committee, the League of Women Voters and Bismarck’s leadership team of FM ATD. Furthermore, Robin shares her time and talents with the Dakota Digital Film Festival and the Bismarck Animal Impound. And, whenever possible, Robin will be enjoying the outdoors with her husband and dog.

Rhoda Sautner is an Assistant Professor in the Gary Tharaldson School of Business at the University of Mary. She teaches both undergraduate accounting and human resources courses and graduate courses in organizational behavior and human resources. In 2012 she received a doctoral degree in Industrial / Organizational Psychology.


Program Chair 


Angela Kiesz is the Learning and Development Coordinator for Capital Credit Union in Bismarck, ND.  Angela oversees the ongoing education of staff, facilitates leadership training, and administrates several programs and systems that support learning.  She has worked at Capital Credit Union for a total of 5 years.  She has a BA in English and Mass Communications from MSUM, and certifications in Designing Learning and DDI Facilitation.

Dave Leingang is an experienced facilitator in strategic planning, leadership classes and mastermind groups for businesses and non-profits in both traditional and distant learning classrooms. Dave Leingang started his consulting firm, Exploring Leadership Soulutions, after retiring from a career in the United States Navy and a second career with North Dakota Department of Transportation (NDDOT). Dave holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business and a Master’s Degree in Strategic Leadership from the University of Mary in Bismarck, ND. He’s became a John Maxwell Team Founding Partner in 2011 and a TaijiFit instructor in 2016.

Jeanne Masseth is the President of Legacy Talent Development where she partners with clients to plan for and grow great talent. With nearly 20 years in talent development, corporate training, continuing education, and succession planning, Jeanne’s work spans private and public sectors. She specializes in talent strategy and growing leaders to help clients retain effective employees. As a life-longer learner, thought leader, and facilitator, Jeanne is stays on the cutting edge of industry research. She holds a master’s degree in business and has completed postgraduate work in Educational Leadership. Jeanne is a certified facilitator, consultant, and trainer in addition to maintaining both SPHR and SHRM-SCP designations.

Todd Schock is the Learning & Development Manager for Dakota Prairie Refining in Dickinson ND. I have a Bachelor’s of Management Degree from the University of Mary. I have 33 years of operations and management experience in the Petro-Chemical/Refinery fields. My job roles include development and implementation of Operator, Mechanical Maintenance and Instrument/Electrical Training & Qualification Programs, Internship Programs, Management Leadership and Development Training and Program Development. I am the liaison between DPR and Bismarck State College and serve on the Trend Advisory Board and the Process Technology Oversight Committee.  I live in Bismarck with my wife, Dawn. We are a blended family with four children. We enjoy travel and riding our Harley Davidson.
