Mary has over 20 years of experience in leadership and employee development, as well as consulting and sales experience. She has worked in the hospitality, healthcare, higher education, and technology industries. Mary has a bachelor’s degree in Speech Communications from MSUM, and enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with her husband, Kevin, and their two children.

Jess Almlie, Immediate Past President (2018)
Vice President, Learning Experience - Discovery Benefits, A WEX Company

Jess Almlie has over 20 years of experience working in learning and development. Over the course of her career she has focused on leadership development, employee skill development, customer education, measurement and assessment of learning, and learning strategy. Jess completed her bachelor’s degree at Concordia College in Organizational Communication and her Master’s degree at NDSU in Educational Leadership where her thesis focused on the impact of leadership workshops on behavior change.

Sabrina Olsen, President Elect
Manager of Learning and Development – GOLDMARK Property Management

Sabrina has a passion for learning and an energy for people. She loves that learning and development combines both purposes. Sabrina manages a team who develops and implements learning strategies and programs including e-learning courses as well as virtual and in-person workshops. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration from MSUM. 

Mitch Johnson, VP Membership
Learning and Development Manager – CoreLink Administrative Solutions

In addition to his work at CoreLink, Mitch is a 2017 graduate from the Chamber of Commerce’s Fargo Moorhead West Fargo Leadership program in which he, along with 5 others, developed Experience FMWF – a program that helps college students get connected and engaged to the greater Fargo Moorhead West Fargo community. Additionally he serves at the Co-Director of Program for North Dakota Leadership Seminar.

Tai Davidson, VP Finance
Instructional Designer – Tecton Products

Tai has been working in the instructional systems design field since 2012 at Tecton Products. He is an owner in a rental property business and has an educational background in HR and Business. He won the 2018 Pinnacle Award for Continuous Improvement for his efforts in the creation of a blended-learning program. He enjoys snowboarding, motorcycle riding, and music programming.

Tino Simon, VP Programming
Business Program Manager – Microsoft

Tino has over 20 years of training and technology experience with a variety of organizations including Microsoft, General Electric, Gateway Computers, the National Institutes of Health, the U.S. Department of State and North Dakota State University. He has worked training creation and delivery for a wide range of technologies and soft skills. He holds an MBA, and is finishing up a PhD in Adult and Occupational Education.   

Jodi Stende, VP Special Programs
Manager, Online Learning – Discovery Benefits, A WEX Company

Jodi guides a team of online learning designers to create courses that are meaningful, memorable, and motivational for learners. She has over 10 years of experience in training, content writing, instructional design and online learning. She also advocates for people and families affected by Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and serves on the Board of Directors for the North Dakota Autism Center.

Kirsten Peterson, VP Technology
Instructional Designer, Trainer – WANZEK Construction, Inc. 

Kirsten is an Instructional Designer at Wanzek Construction, Inc., where she designs digital content for company training and development. Her goal is to create content that is innovative, engaging, meaningful and memorable. Kirsten has been a member of ND-ATD since moving back to Fargo in 2016. 

Angie Kiesz, VP Outstate and Virtual Programming
Learning and Development Coordinator – Capital Credit Union

In her role at Capital Credit Union, Angie oversees all organization-wide training and development programs as well as ongoing education. She loves the possibilities and potential that Learning and development unlocks for individuals to make a positive impact in their organizations and careers. Angie is one of the founding members of the Bismarck-Mandan area ATD group.

Paula Graner, Board Member at Large - Bismarck Area
President/CEO – GHR Consulting

Paula has served in the talent management and development sector for more than two decades. She travels the region working with organizations ready to have crucial conversations and cultural transformation, and more importantly harassment-free environments. Graner, mother of three, is active in the community. Most recently she founded the Masters Network Chapter in Bismarck.

Tina Lemi, Board Member at Large - Fargo Area

Tina is responsible for improving the productivity of bank employees through the effective development, coordination and presentation of quality training and development programs. Tina is a graduate of the FMWF Chamber Leadership program. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Dickenson State University.
